Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Headteacher - Teaching and LearningLocation: KirkleesContract Type: Full-time £45,000 - £53,000Start Date: ASAPAbout Us:Our partner school offers a therapeutic nurture provision for learners with complex social, emotional, mental health and other associated needs. Trauma informed practice and approaches are embedded throughout our provision.   • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement the schools vision for SEN provision.
  • SEN Assessment: Oversee the identification, assessment, and tracking of students with SEN, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
  • Teaching and Learning: Provide guidance and support to teaching staff in implementing effective teaching strategies for students with SEN.
  • Parent and Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider community, ensuring they are well-informed and involved in their childs education.
  • Staff Development: Lead and support the professional development of staff members involved in SEN provision.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and a strong background in education.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing SEN provision within a school setting.
  • A deep understanding of SEN legislation, best practices, and strategies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
