Job Description

1st Line Support Technician - HuddersfieldExcellent opportunity for someone wanting to take the next step in their career in a company that can offer them genuine career progression. You will be the first port of call for IT related issues and work closely with their in-house infrastructure and development teams.Client DetailsThe client are an innovative and well established company in the property design and building sector. This role sits within their IT Support function, responsible for managing all technology related issues for their UK and European offices. This role will be based in their West Yorkshire headquarters but occasional travel to other UK offices may be required.Description1st Line Support Technician - HuddersfieldYou will be working closely with a small team of Support specialists, dealing with 1st and sometimes 2nd line IT issues over the phone, via email and in person. Your day to day duties will include:

  • Create and issue ticket logs when new queries are raised
  • Perform first and second line support and then escalate work orders to senior technical staff as required
  • Monitor work orders and ensure that they are completed within the agreed timeframes
  • Follow up on completed work orders for senior staff to ensure that they are satisfied with the solution
  • Gain an understanding of the local and national IT systems to give better escalation of support queries
  • Shift patterns offered are: 8.30am-5pm and 9.30am-6pm.ProfileThe successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate at least 1 years experience in an IT Support/Helpdesk based role.Essential experience:
  • Microsoft Windows 7/10 Enterprise
  • Microsoft Office 2010/2013/365
  • PC/ Laptop hardware
  • Printer hardware
  • Mobile/ Smartphones/Tablets
  • Basic understanding of:
  • Windows Server 2008/ 2012
  • Microsoft Exchange 2007/ 2010/ 2013
  • Adobe Products
  • File and directory permissions
  • Active Directory
  • TCP/IP networking
  • Network Printing
