Job Description

We are currently seeking Night Staff Nurses (RGN/RMN/RNLD) to join our Specialist Brain Injury Neurological Care and Rehabilitation ServiceatThe Huntercombe Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre - Nottingham,located in the town of Hucknall, 7 miles from Nottingham City Centreand just 2 miles from the M1 Motorway. We would be delighted to speak to you If you’ve previously worked for the NHS or Private Sectors.We would like to welcome all nurses joining our permanent team with a Welcome Bonus’ of at least £1000.00The Huntercombe Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre - NottinghamThe centre is a 70 bed service divided into 3 units, providing care and treatment for people with neurological disabilities and acquired brain injury.The service operates with a multi-disciplinary team and encourages and supports staff at all grades in their personal development provide high quality specialist services for people who have neuro disability or acquired brain injury.The 3 distinct units focus on the following: the residential and supportive needs for clients with debilitating degenerative disorders/intensive care and rehabilitation for individuals who have a moderate to severe brain injury/the active rehabilitation for people with a neuro disability or ABI.All of the services follow a psychology led multi-disciplinary treatment model with the multi-Disciplinary being committed to providing innovative models of care throughout the service.The service is situated in the small town of Hucknall which is located just 7 miles from Nottingham City Centre and just 2 miles from the M1 MotorwayWhen you join The Huntercombe Group as a Staff Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD), you will be part of a company that is understanding, strives towards excellence, is innovative, reliable and accessible and above all puts people first.Most patients and residents are referred via NHS and local authorities. We play an integral part in contributing to new models of care outlined in the Five Year Forward View.As a Staff Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) working in our Specialist Brain Injury Neurological Care and Rehabilitation Service, your main duties will be:-

  • To provide high standards of nursing and therapeutic care in the rehabilitation of brain injured patients; and through being part of a multi-disciplinary team, provide supervision and guidance to a team of Carers.
  • Identifying care needs in conjunction with the person, their family and the team
  • To assess and deliver effective individual care and treatment towards the rehabilitation of service users
  • To undertake the role of named nurse
  • To actively participate in clinical meetings promoting, reviewing and initiating relevant changes to service user care
  • To effectively co-ordinate the shift, including allocation of service users, supervision of a team of Carers and ensuring the safety of the unit
  • To join The Huntercombe Group as a Staff Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) you will:-
  • Hold current NMC PIN registration and adhere to the NMC Codes of Conduct at all times
