THE ROLEOur client based in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire who provides logistics services to a large aerospace customer are looking for a customer centric and results driver Shift Controller to support with day-to-day management of the site.WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DOReporting into the Operations Manager, you will provide management control through effective planning, organisation and communication to ensure all KPIs and service levels are achieved. You will take accountability for the general people management on shiftwhilst implementing and embedding a culture of employee engagement and drive operational excellence to keep your team motivated and focused to perform all activities relating to receipt, storage, launch and dispatch of materials. Quality management is alsoa key aspect of this role, ensuring all materials and processes are completed correctly and they comply with the appropriate inspections protocols.Working hours for the role are Monday - Friday 1:30pm - 10pm.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOROur ideal candidate will have a proven experience of managing a diverse team and demonstrable experience of absence reporting, conducting appraisals, and overseeing training and development requirements. You will already be operating within a warehousingor production environment, able to demonstrate experience of building and developing exceptional client relationships, be a skilled decision maker, influencer and problem solver who is able to interact and engage with colleagues at all levels.It goes without saying that you will be IT proficient able to use various systems and MS packages with strong report writing and statistical investigative skills.You will have a flexible approach to working hours to support operations as and when needed.WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFERWith a genuine culture of reward and recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey.
