Job Description

[10:12] Alfie BatesConcept are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a Head Of Procurement who is looking to grow their strategic procurement function. Joining a collaborative team, you will take responsibility for the strategic sourcing and category management for theindirect spend. Developing clear category strategies, you will maximise value across the end to end sourcing process.

  • Delivery of the overall procurement strategy and key objectives, with direct accountability for specific indirect categories
  • Develop strategic category plans to drive commercial, quality and service objectives of the business, ensuring suppliers are reporting contracted SLAs and KPIs
  • Implement consistent and robust Supplier Performance Management for category vendors
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, forecasts/re-forecasts and ongoing relationship development to optimise the value and performance of each supplier
  • Negotiating and managing commercial terms for all suppliers
  • Consolidating expenditure and suppliers wherever appropriate
  • Negotiation and drafting of contracts
  • Use technology to drive procurement best practice such as electronic tendering and auctions
The successful candidate will have the following experience...
  • Sourcing and category management experience within indirects and CAPEX
  • Good negotiation skills and an ability to influence key decision makers
  • Experience of delivering change, ideally is qualified in project management such as Prince2
  • Track record of commercial acumen
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Highly analytical and methodical approach
  • Ability to structure workload, to plan and multi-task efficiently
  • Competent with eProcurement platforms and IT solutions
  • CIPS qualification
For the successful person, this role offers up to £55,000 + benefits. This is a hybrid position so you will be to be in travelling distance of the office for three days per week.
