Job Description

Amazing School Hounslow is Looking for a Reception TeacherReception Teacher - January 2024Wayman Education is working with a family-feel and welcoming primary school based in the heart of Hounslow. The school is looking for a caring, lovely, dedicated, and nurturing Reception teacher for September. The children there are fun, and motivated; thestaff there are determined about developing well-rounded, successful pupils through a creative and well-designed curriculum. The school is looking to appoint an outstanding and experienced Reception teacher who is great at driving attainment and creating engaginglessons.Responsibilities of a Reception teacher:

  • As a Reception teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children who are taking their first steps in EYFS, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment
  • Teaching the EYFS curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual childs learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses
  • Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories
  • Keeping track of childrens progress and occasionally reporting back to parents

Suitable Applicants Must Have:
  • Relevant qualifications (Experienced Reception teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply)
  • Experience teaching EYFS or Reception
  • The confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies
