We haveshifts covering 37.5 hours per week! Or less hours if that is your preference!New Dawn is a residential service for adults aged 18-40 with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, communication and sensory impairments and complex health needs including persoanal support.New Dawn is a large bungalow with 19 ground floor rooms. There are communal areas for people to socialise in, including a living room, dining room and kitchen. There is a large garden as well as a hot tub and sensory room for people toAs a Support Worker you will support and enable people to live the life they choose: to make choices, to express themselves and live as independently as possible. Your patient support and encouragement will assist individuals to run their own lives as much as possible - helping with personal care, supporting someone to rustle up some breakfast, do the weekly shop or visit a local café. Youcan evengo on both UK & Holidays abroad for free!!We also support people to take part in some our amazing arts and wellbeing activities - from dance to music making, swimming to going to concerts.Being a Support Worker can be the springboard to your future career - and to all sorts of opportunities and management roles.Experience is not necessarily required for this role as we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction. However, it is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to peoples lives.Flexibility is needed as working times do vary and will include evenings and occasional weekends; we will however provide you with a rota well in advance so you can plan your socialBeing a support worker is not just about personal care. In fact, it’s only a small part of it. For example, T needs support making her cup of tea in the morning, while B has a new found love of gardening so will need support in bringing his ideas to life in the garden.
