As Cook in Charge at our Witherslack Group school, you’ll whip up delicious meals for staff, visitors and young people. Food hygiene is paramount and you’ll observe all regulations. You’ll also plan menus and consider nutritional standards. It’s a great opportunity to build relationships with staff and young people alike.Along with a Level 3 qualification in Food Safety in Catering (or equivalent), you’ll bring good organisational skills and the ability to plan menus. These menus must be well-balanced and encourage our young people to try new food. Having catered for large groups before, you’ll know how to budget and order in bulk. An insistence on high standards means your food is always tasty and well prepared.Hall Cliffe School is a day school catering for up to 104 boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 16. The school is located in a beautiful Grade 2 listed building, with state of the art facilities, which allow us to deliver a creative curriculum. Alongside our academic subjects, our young people have access to our brand new, off site Vocational Centre that opened in September 2018. We offer courses such as Motor Vehicle, Construction and Hair and Beauty, allowing our young people to grow and reach their full potential.For children with complex, challenging needs, the level of care and education must go above and beyond.
