This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Senior Sous Chef, working for a very gastro pub working with all fresh produce. The restaurant is 1 rosette with a fabulous reputation. As Senior Sous Chef you will be expected to lead the 4/5strong brigade alongside the Head Chef and assist them to enable the smooth running of the kitchen. The Senior Sous Chef will be expected to be able to run the kitchen fully in the Head Chef absence. Experience in a similar environment would be advantageousalong with knowledge of cooking with fresh seasonal produce. As this is a senior Sous Chef role you will be assisting in all areas of kitchen management including paperwork, implementation of hygiene legislation, ordering and stock management.Requirements:An experienced passionate Senior Sous Chef with experience in a fresh food environment or a Sous Chef looking to step up to the next level is required for this role. This role would suit a Sous Chef who has a proven track record of working in a team thatcaters using quality fresh food to a minimum of 1 rosette standard. An excellent all round knowledge of the kitchen and an up to date awareness of current cooking trends is needed for this role. All chefs should have good organisational skills who is ableto have the kitchen fully prepped for busy service times in order to ensure that the department runs smoothly.
