Summary Our ambition for delivering Nature’s Recovery, Climate Adaptation, Carbon Capture and Public Benefit is hugely important to us. We have a clear vision for the future of the 12,000-hectares of land we care for in the High Peak within the Peak District NationalPark, to ensure it provides benefit to nature, climate, and people.We have secured a DEFRA grant to deliver our High Peak Nature Recovery project. The outputs of which will set us up for success for the following 20 years.You will be part of the Peak District’s Land and Nature Delivery Team working with specialists in countryside management, wooded habitat creation, peatland restoration, ecology, farming, estate management and heritage.This role is fixed term for 3 years. There will be great opportunitiesfor you to gain new experiences, learn from others and to continue your professional development.You’ll work from one of our offices, just outside of Edale within the outstanding High Peak landscape, among the wider portfolio, which makes up to 13% of the Peak District National Park. Hybrid working will be considered to make this role work for you. What youll be doing Youll project manage our High Peak Nature Recovery project, funded by Defra’s Landscape Recovery Scheme. This is a 2-year development phase which covers over 9000 hectares of land in our care. The project will see us work with our tenant farmers and otherpartners to develop 20+ year land plans which see our land deliver for people, nature, and climate, protecting it for generations to come. It will include work to restore peatland, create wooded habitats and improve grasslands through natural processes, supportedby grazing. Youll deliver a range of environmental benefits including capturing carbon, reducing flood risk, improving soil health, increasing climate resilience, and providing homes and food for a variety of wildlife.You’ll lead the delivery of this phase, co-ordinate our approach and ensure that all outputs are achieved on time, to scope and of a high quality. Leading the project team, you’ll work collaboratively to deliver different elements of the project, includingsite access plans, monitoring and evaluation, and the development of project plans.You’ll lead on the creation of a long-term business model and governance model for the implementation phase.
