This presents an opportunity to train and develop with a high performing mineral extraction and processing team who work well together and look out for one another.This role could be suited to anybody with good levels of dexterity and coordination skills and who also enjoys working in an outdoor environment. The apprenticeship duration is likely to be for 2 years and employment will be on a Monday to Friday day pattern, 8:00am to 4:00pm (3:30pm on a Friday).On completion, the candidate will have achieved Operator Red and Blue Cards for the competent operation of Wheeled Loaders, Dump Trucks and Excavators within a hard rock quarry environment, as well as for the operation of fixed crushing, screening and conveying equipment. Most on the job training will be undertaken at Hope Limestone Quarry, however, the apprenticeship programme will include attending off-site training to cover modules such as IOSH Working Safely, Quarry Regulations, Quarry Safety Inspections and Critical Safety Cultures. Additional in-house training will also be covered which includes a Cement Technology Module to help understand how our quarry operations interact with the Cement Manufacturing Process.
