Job Description

We are seeking a Customs Administrator for a global freight forwarder, who has a modern facility based in Rochester, Kent. This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00. The starting salary is dependant on experience from £26,000- £28,000 per annum.The ideal applicant will have experience within customs administration and able to demonstrate that they have completed basic customs declarations. The company operate on behalf of their customers; therefore, we are looking for a strong communicator whocan liaise with both internal and external contacts. Using an in-house system, a lot of the role will be IT based and on software that is similar to other customs operations; a strong ability with excel and other systems is required.The role includes, but not limited to

CFSP data entry of shipments removed from the customs warehouse
Creation of T forms and check they have been discharged
Auditing of customs declarations
Maintaining records and notes on a web-based portal and manual paperwork
Check that imports documentation is correct and accurate
Processing of NES export declarations
