Job Description

* Award-winning business* Competitive salary and benefitsOverview of the Role:A commercially minded New Product Development Engineer is required to join this award-winning Southwest business to strengthen the companys market leading position. With an established history and recent investment this is an exciting time to join the teamand be part of the continued success and growth.You will need to have a proven track record of technical product development, continuous improvement and a thorough understanding of theoretical and practical mechanical engineering.Your Responsibilities:Project and Product Management:* Development and continuous improvement of products, systems and services* Manage and coordinate individual projects and report on their success* Ensure products meet industry quality standards and exceed customer expectations* Product training across the businessQuality Control and Continuous Improvement:* Identify quality control improvement opportunities through customer feedback and data analysis. Monitor both internal and external feedback.* Carry out product / performance testing as required* Develop supporting documentation and training for the sales teams* Implement improvements to processes to drive down errors and inefficiencies.* Contribute to the continuous improvement of products and processes by highlighting weak areas and proposing improvementsYour Key Skills, Experience & Attributes* A higher-level qualification such as a degree in Engineering (Mechanical ideally) however knowledge of electrical / electronical engineering would be beneficial.* Understanding of theoretical and practical mechanical engineering* Excellent verbal and written skills as well as a good level of Maths.* Ability to edit and update documentation including using relevant graphics package such as Adobe Illustrator and AutoCAD is an advantage* Heating, electronic or smart controls knowledge would be an advantage as would an understanding of construction industry legislationFull job description availableBenefits:* 23 holidays per year (+1 day for every full year service up to maximum of 5 years)* Up to 3% Pension Contribution matched* Individual Performance Related Bonus paid annually - up to 2% of earned salary* Cycle Scheme salary sacrifice scheme for tax-free bikes and accessories (conditions apply)* Occupational Sickness Benefit (conditions apply)* On-Site car parking* Long Service Award (conditions apply)Working Hours: 8.30am-5.00pm Monday -FridayKing Recruit are committed to the selection, recruitment of the best people, basing judgements solely on suitability for the job.
