The Company:A well respected renewable heating supplier requires an experienced Plumbing and Heating Engineer to help commission and service systems throughout"t the South West. You will work from home, travel daily and probably stay away 2 nights per week (expensed) as the region will cover Bristol across to Swindon, down to Southampton and all of Devon & Cornwall. The ideal candidate location therefore would be somewhere along the SW section of the M5 corridor (Bristol, Taunton, Exeter) . You will have a great deal of autonomy but also have the opportunity to work as part of team, with professionals in the office to handle all administration and order all parts, youll be provided with a fully equipped van and work on some great domestic renewable and heating projects.Job Responsibilities: Commission systems to ensure efficient operation, using the company commissioning documentation as the basis to promote best practiceTrain installer customers on the efficient installation of the companys productsCarry out system service visits in line with the appropriate procedure ensuring any non-warranty items are correctly charged to the customerPreferred Skills: City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in plumbing and heatingMinimum 3 years practical knowledge in the industryRenewable industry knowledge preferableDesirable is experience in UFH or Renewables with some or all of these types of quals:· Part P, 17th Edition, UVHW, Heat Pump, Solar Thermal, EE, Water Regs, FGas or RefrigerationUnderstanding of the principles of mechanical and electrical servicesConstruction industry knowledge ideal, but not essentialValid UK driving licencePersonal Attributes: Well developed interpersonal skillsIndependent self-starter, able to work in a cross-functional team environmentExcellent levels of customer service in person and via the telephoneAssociated Benefits: Company van, equipment, mobile and laptop providedIndividual Performance Related Bonus up to 2% of salaryUp to 3% matched pension contributions23 days holiday (rising to 28 with tenure) plus bank holidays10% membership discount for LED leisureWorking Hours:8.30-5pm Mon-Fri with overnight stays required To apply, or to find out more information, please click on one of the "apply" buttons Please note that due to a high level of applications, we can only respond immediately to applicants whose skills & qualifications are suitable for this position.Meridian Business Support is acting on behalf of our Client as a Recruitment Agency.
