Job Description

Production Technician (Graduate or Experienced)Location: DevonSalary: Up to £25,000Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30-5.00. Part time hours consideredPackage: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Life Assurance (4x Salary), Training support, 5% Employer Pension Contribution.If you are a skilled Production Technician or graduate (including if you are still studying), looking for a role in a niche, multiskilled environment. This is the role for you.

  • Production of multiple products, requiring electronic assembly, mechanical assembly and inspection skills
  • Testing of multiple products using a range of different test equipment
  • Programming, setting up and operating the pick and place machine
  • Fault-finding PCBs
  • Working with the engineering team to introduce new products to the production department
  • Mainly workshop based although occasional site/customer visit will be required
Experience and skills:
  • Degree or apprenticeship in Electronics or multiskilled engineering discipline (Telecommunication would be advantageous).
  • For those who are applying as an experienced individual, you would ideally have 3 years experience.
  • Knowledge of production processes (electronics, splicing, soldering, potting)
  • Familiar with all aspects of through hole and surface mount soldering
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality procedures
  • Fault finding skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience in testing sensors and electronic circuits using various types of test equipment
  • Able to read technical drawings
  • A proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, and confident
  • Good practical skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Willingness to travel to other sites/events on occasion
