Finance Manager - Holsworthy - Circa: £30,000Trial Balance Consulting have been engaged by a new client, a family owned distribution business based in Holsworthy. The company has a large portfolio of long standing customers located throughout the Southwest and has enjoyed a steady increase in turnover(currently approx. £2.5M pa). Ads the business has grown, they now require a dedicated Finance Manager to look after their in-house accounting needs. The role can be operated on 4-5 day working week and will be based at the business rural headquarters (owntransport essential).Working closely with the companys (exceptionally cheerful!), Managing Director, the Finance Manager will assume full responsibility for the day-to-day financial control of a small OMB. This is a pivotal role that works with colleagues across all areas ofthe business. The role represents and ideal opportunity for a forward-thinking FM/Company Bookkeeper to develop and implement improvements to current accounting procedures and ensure maximum efficiency from the function. Key responsibilities to include:- Production accounts to trial balance- Produce basic monthly management accounts with commentary- Administration of accounts payable and receivable- Preparing and administering supplier payment runs- Aged debtor management- Prepare monthly payroll for onward submission to external payroll service providers- Manage VAT reporting requirements- Bank reconciliations and petty cash management- Cash flow management- Other ad-hoc administration dutiesWere looking for a friendly and technical competent individual, ideally with experience gained within an SME/OMB. The successful candidate can be either part/fully AAT or qualified by experience but should possess at least two years experience gained ina similar position and with good all round IT aptitude (the company uses a bespoke accounting platform).
