Job Description

Agricultural Technician/Fitter - Holsworthy - £25,000 - £28,000Exeter Pertemps are seeking an experienced Agricultural Technician/Fitter on behalf of a local, well established, family company who have sites based across the Devon & Cornwall Counties.As an Agricultural Technician/Fitter you will be required to:

  • Service and repair a range of Agricultural machinery and equipment.
  • Be confident completing all work-related administration, e.g. time sheets, vehicle safety checks, job cards.
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs both onsite and in the workshop.
  • Contribute to the review of safe working methods and overall H&S for the service department, ensuring the correct use of tools and equipment at all times.
  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used equipment, following company procedures to maintain a safe and tidy work environment at all times.
  • Attend and participate in all service training and development opportunities.
  • Must be able to operate on a "Call Out Rota" and work outside office hours during busy periods including weekends.
    • In order to be considered for this role you will need:
  • Previous experience with agricultural machinery in a similar role.
  • Experience in hydraulics, electronics and mechanics is essential.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and confidence working with specialist industry equipment and tools.
  • A positive, happy manner and experience in dealing with customers.
  • Confident in upselling products and services.
  • A responsible, conscientious approach to H&S and a quality finish to all works completed.
  • Current Clean Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication and a good level of computer and literacy skills.
