Job Description

Exeter Pertemps are seeking an Experienced Agricultural Engineer on behalf of a local, well established family company.As an Agricultural Engineer you will be required to:

  • Service and repair of a range of Agricultural machinery and equipment
  • Be confident completing all work-related administration, e.g. time sheets and vehicle safety checks, job cards.
  • Performing diagnostics and repairs both onsite and in the workshop.
  • Contributing to the review of safe working methods and overall H&S for the service department, ensuring the correct use of tools and equipment at all times.
  • Carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used equipment following company procedures to maintain a safe and tidy work environment at all times.
  • Attend and participate in all service training and development opportunities.
  • Ability to operate on a "Call Out Rota" and work outside office hours during busy periods including weekends.
    • In order to be considered for this role you will need:
  • Previous experience with agricultural machinery in a similar role.
  • Experience in hydraulics, electronics and mechanics is essential
  • Strong diagnostic skills and confidence working with specialist industry equipment and tools
  • A positive, happy manner and experience in dealing with customers
  • Confident in upselling products and services
  • A responsible, conscientious approach to H&S and a quality finish to all works completed
  • Excellent communication and a good level of computer and literacy skills
