Argus benchmarks are used globally throughout the energy sector for formula pricing in contracts, as a taxation reference, in investment planning and for a variety of other purposes.Job PurposeAs we develop and grow our sales function globally, we are looking for a Senior Sales Operations Analyst to work closely with the Global Sales team to develop and produce an accurate overview of business performance on a daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc basis to Senior Sales Management. You will be responsible for all key sales metrics for the Global sales team and will maintain and generate recurring Key Performance Metrics such as bookings trends, pipeline coverage, opportunity win rates, lead conversion rates, average sales cycle, etc.This is an exciting opportunity to shape and drive the sales strategy for the business globally in a growing team. The Sales Operations team are a Centre of Excellence’ within Argus Media to drive sustainable sales outcomes.You must instinctively understand how to build trust and credibility internally with sales, and collaborate across our business in marketing, technology, Human Resources and Finance. You will be supporting the business by providing accurate and insightful management information reports - you will play a key role in developing and providing quality information that will drive future decisions of the business. Within the role you will identity opportunities for smarter ways of working - driving productivity, automation and key business insight with your programming and reporting skills.Key responsibilities

  • Identify and develop KPIs to run the sales organization
  • Develop and maintain all automated reports to distribute critical revenue and order information to the sales teams including Year-to-Date revenue reports, pipeline reports, renewal reports, etc.
  • Run and deliver programmes of work across multiple stakeholders, with clear metrics defined and tracked
  • Develop trusted relationships with the sales management team
  • Support and deliver special projects
  • Drive increased adoption of sales technology tools and processes and continue to optimize those processes through partnerships with our technology team and others in the business
  • Maintain a clear focus on the client conversation and the value that Argus delivers to our clients, in everything that we do to enable the sales teams globally
  • Use SQL to interact with the data warehouse and query and manipulate the data
  • Maintain reports and creating new ones in Visualisation tools such as QuickSight, Power BI, Domo etc.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to produce reports and ensure they are delivered to a high standard
  • Identify opportunities for automation of report production and program solutions accordingly
  • Qualifications
  • A Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business or equivalent
  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience within sales, sales operations, data analysis, business operations and/or management reporting
  • Business experience using Visualisation tools such as QuickSight, Power BI, Domo etc.
  • Proven experience using SQL to interact with data warehouse
  • Excellent communication skills in order to communicate with a range of stakeholders
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, SalesForce, Marketo, Workday a plus
  • Understanding of programming and how it impacts reporting
  • Must be highly motivated within a proven track record for achieving results
  • Extreme attention to detail and passion for accuracy in all reporting and data gathering in a complex environment
  • Strong sales fluency, an understanding of what drives sales organizations and how sales organizations are measured
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work virtually, in a global team environment
  • Demonstrated experience driving innovation and process improvement that enables the business to achieve its objectives
  • Strong project and time management skills, with an ability to set and maintain priorities to meet deadlines
  • The ability to pick up new systems and processes quickly
  • Have a thorough and methodical approach
