Job Description

ANDROID DEVELOPER – MOBILE ENGINEER – ANDROID – KOTLIN – KOTLIN CORE ROUTINES – RX JAVA – MVVM – API – APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT – CONTRACT – CENTRAL LONDON – WORK FROM HOME – FLEXIBLE WORKING – IMMEDIATE START Android Developer (Android, Kotlin) is immediately is required to join a market leadingdigital company’s talented mobile development team based in Covent Garden, London on a contract basis for an initial 3 months. This Fantastic opportunity to join an online giant’s ever-growing team will allow for work from home for the duration of the contract and there is a high possibility of extension.You will work closely with a small offshore team to ensure the development of an android application is completed within a timely manner. You will have a minimum of 5 years engineering experience working with Android technologies, Kotlin and Kotlin core routines. You will have experience testing Android applications.The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • Able to identify and implement opportunities to optimise processes
  • Creates software that is robust in presence of failure; its scalable and cost effective
  • Demonstrates exemplary coding practices: code organisation, clarity, simplicity, error handling and documentation
  • Is able to define, analyse, plan, measure, maintain and improve aspects of the availability of mobile app
  • Four to five years experience with Kotlin development
  • Working with APIs
  • Experience with source control like (Git, TFVC etc.)
  • Unit testing(TDD, BDD)
  • App Automation(Jenkins or Azure DevOps, Fastlane)
  • Comfortable with Java programming language
  • Experience with Android SDK and android Architecture patterns
  • Expertise on Android basic components: Activity, Fragment, Intent, Service, BroadcastReceiver, ContentProvider etc.
    • The chosen Mobile Engineer will have the opportunity to be involved in the full development lifecycle, from design through to implementation, and is an ideal opportunity to learn and use a wide range of cutting-edge technologies in an agile environment.
