You will be the day to day number 1 in finance for a fast paced UK based manufacturing subsidiary, responsible for a small team in finance and providing valuable business partnering to the operational leadership team.The role would be a superb platform for someone looking to make the step into their first fully fledged FC / Head of Finance role. You will enjoy support and guidance from a highly talented FD (based in another region of the UK) but a high degree of autonomy. A real opportunity to make a difference and have an impact in a growth manufacturing environment.There is significant opportunity to progress within the group and the role would suit someone with ambition and drive.The remit surrounds being a financial sounding board to the leadership team - providing real time and credible MI / commentary that guides strategy and operational decision making.You will enjoyYou’ll partner, challenge and influence and your communication skills will be key to success in the role. It is a completely business-facing role with daily interaction with colleagues across the production facilities.You’ll discuss and influence materials variances, labour spend, forecasting, product and customer profitability, margins, wasteage, production efficiencies and yield, cost management plans, profit enhancement strategies, capital spend and ROI, project accounting, NPD.You will need to be someone who absolutely thrives in a professional manufacturing environment and who takes a proactive approach to delivering positive change.This is a varied and interesting role in business that can offer chance to really develop your own profile and major career progression opportunity.You will need:
