I am currently recruiting on behalf of a pharmaceutical company based in Cambridge, which has an urgent requirement for an interim accountant to work on a financial model in Excel.Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will have advanced Excel skills and ideally, experience of financial modelling. Candidates will likely have a background in FP&A or Finance Business Partnering.The model has been created already, however, the interim accountant will ensure consistency across the model, ensuring that it is user friendly and, checking that cells and formulas are working as they should be. This may involve improving the formulas whererequired and, improving the layout and functionality of the model.Specific Excel skills required will include, VLOOKUP, index/match, offset, sumifs, if (And, or), formatting (conditional formatting, name ranges, cell styles), and reporting with graphs (lines, stacked bar and combo).This role will require someone who can ideally start next week, w/c 1st August at the latest and the role is expected to be for c3-4 weeks. The client is happy to consider someone fully remote if required.
