Job Description

Contract | Senior QA Tester | Hybrid/Remote | Life Sciences | 500 -550/day (Outside IR35)A world-leading life sciences organisation is looking for a Contract Data-Focused QA Tester. Your work will be contributing to the improvement of tracking and efficiency of genomic sequencing for diseases that will improve health-careand the approach to controlling and ultimately eliminating these diseases. As Senior QA Tester you will perform manualand automation testing in validating data sources, extraction of data, applying transformation logic, and loading data into target tables. You will need strong experience with Big Data and ETL About You: You will need the following skills and experience:

  • Integration testing across multiple platforms and technologies covering both functional and non-functional testing.
  • A thorough understanding of the full development life-cycle.
  • Capability to interpret complex information and problems to amend plans.
  • Testing across multiple products.
  • Comfortable in an Agile environment.
Essential Skills:
  • Experience in testing data validation scenarios and Data ingestion, pipelines, and transformation processes: ETL
  • An understanding of big data engineering tools such as: Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Dask
  • Demonstrated experience of working with automated testing tools preferably Python language
  • Understanding of information governance principles and how they could apply in a testing capacity
  • Demonstrated experience of automating tests across multiple platforms and technologies
  • Knowledge of test case management packages
