Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated HR professional with a proven record and recent direct experience gained in a similar on-boarding role to join our HR Services team as a HR Services Onboarding Team Leader.About the role:In this hands on operational role you will manage a team of two On-boarding HR Services Administrators to deliver a quality on-boarding administration service to our people, hiring managers and stakeholders. Your team will provide quality advice to our people on policies and procedures spanning across the HR Services remit, whilst also administering some aspects of general administration. You will be required to deputise for the Employee Changes Team Leader as needed.Your demonstrable on-boarding and HR systems experience will be critical to you playing a pivotal role in continuously improving processes and managing new process and systems requirements.Your key responsibilities will include: (please refer to the role profile for detailed accountabilities)

  • Managing the performance and development of the On-boarding team. Ensuring the team are adequately trained in all processes and have up to date working knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Managing the operational delivery of On-boarding administration (offer creation, new starter systems record creation, referencing, conducting compliance checks etc.) and general administration tasks. Monitoring volumes of work, distributing activity as required to meet SLA deliverables and payroll deadlines. Personally administering administration where required
  • Performing day to day secondary checks on key outgoing on-boarding correspondence and related system inputting
  • Primary contact for On-boarding and general queries
  • Lead on the implementation of new people on-boarding initiatives, putting together implementation plans/processes, supporting tools, upskilling direct team and monitoring delivery as required
  • Manage the provision of regular aligned reporting or ad-hoc data requests
  • Collaborate with the Employee Changes Team Leader on cross team accountabilities i.e. HR Services mailbox management
  • Support HR systems development and maintenance.
  • Essential Skills
  • Experience of directly developing and managing team members
  • Demonstrable knowledge of HR processes (including legal and regulatory frameworks) across the on-boarding scope, related policies and procedures
  • Proven experience of managing, administering and distributing high-volumes of HR operational work within a busy HR administration environment
  • Well-developed IT skills, proficient user of Excel, HR systems and reporting
  • Proven experience in documenting processes, process improvements and adhering to compliance controls
  • Excellent: attention to detail, organisational skills, proven independent critical thinking to facilitate solutions independently by fact finding to make sound fact base decisions
  • Good numerical skills, able to perform salary and holiday calculations
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude to overcome obstacles
  • First rate customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly professional and experience working with confidential information
