Job Description

We have a brand new opportunity within our proactive and collaborative HR team for a highly skilled employee relations specialist. Sitting within the HR Partnering team you will be responsible for overseeing all ER work within the organisation; managing your own case-load as well as providing guidance to other HR colleagues in the management of their casework.More about the role:

  • You will be supporting our leaders and managers to effectively and proactively handle employee relations matters.
  • Providing expert guidance to other HR colleagues in the management of their ER work as well as overseeing your own caseload.
  • You will lead the implementation of a coherent and effective ER reporting system, ensuring that we use appropriate measures and provide accurate and timely KPI data relating to this.
  • You will review how ER work is managed on an organisation-wide basis and implement new initiatives to improve consistency and effectiveness of ER management.
  • Essential Skills
  • Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience of, and demonstrable success in, providing strategic and operational HR advice and guidance at a senior level
  • Excellent working knowledge of legal framework/best practice surrounding employment law
  • Clear appreciation of the strategic context in which HR operates
  • Skilled and confident communicator who can clearly present ideas and solutions across all mediums - face to face, presenting to an audience, in writing
  • Ability to listen, analyse and respond effectively/mediate in complex and difficult situations
  • Demonstrable ability to influence and persuade others to take appropriate actions
  • Good track record of managing and delivering projects
  • Proven dynamic and flexible problem-solving skills
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Positive can do’ attitude and strong team-working ethos
  • Adaptable, intuitive, empathetic and approachable
  • Resilience to work under sustained pressure and hold one’s own in challenging situations
