Job Description

Technical Engineer - CADHinckley£30,000 Per AnnumWe are looking for an Engineer to join a well established and growing company in Hinckley. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior engineer with CAD skills to grow into a varied and interesting role with a brilliant company.The ideal candidate will have some mechanical and electrical knowledge, with CAD skills.You will work alongside the Projects and Customer Care teams to support in the creation of (CAD) / technical proposals. You may also be asked to attend client site to support the commissioning of the final system, giving customers support. Some of your timewill be spent within the quality department, to help support quality improvement and maintain the quality systems. Full training will be provided.Day to Day- Main Role

  • Producing Lighting Design Presentations for the underwater lighting of Custom Projects including: CAD layout drawings, 3D CAD Assemblies, Light placement charts, Light rendering
  • Writing and producing technical documentation such as reports and test procedures.
  • Leasing with the internal teams to provide technical support, system diagnosis, fault finding and troubleshooting.
  • Occasional travel abroad, to support customers and perform on-site commissioning
  • Working alongside the engineering team to provide support where required with on on-going development projects, such as product design, prototype testing and evaluation, documentation, and technical advice.
  • Day to Day, Quality (Secondary function):
  • Support inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback.
  • Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements, ensuring the quality is built into the process.
  • Approve the right products or reject defectives.
  • Audit Production processes
  • Conduct non-conformance investigations and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Key Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Good Skills with 2/3D CAD
  • Mechanical knowledge and basic electrical knowledge
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience presenting ideas to customers.
  • Ability to schedule and coordinate work with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within one or more teams.
  • Excellent customer facing skills.
  • Ability to gather feedback from customers and installations and feed them back
  • Must have clean driving licence.
