Role- Support workerPay- £10.50 - £11 phHours- Full time contractWorking hours are on a shift pattern rota basis including some weekend workingAre you looking for an empowering and rewarding career where you can help people to lead their most independent livesTotal Community Carearepart of the City and County Healthcare Group in are currently looking to expand their fantastic team of Support Workers/ Care Assistants in your area.Youll either be an enthusiastic person with plenty of patience looking for a career change to bring new life and experiences into our service or youll be an experienced Support Worker/ Care Assistant with a background in complex, emotional or behaviouralsettings looking for a change and wanting to be part of a team that will make a difference to young people or Adults with complex needs to give them new opportunities in their life both at home and in the community.We support all difference types of people with Motor Neurone Disease, Muscular dystrophy, Spinal Cord, acquired brain injuries and other complex needs that may include a physical disability, who would like support either on a 24-hour basis within their ownhomes or to access the community on daily basis dependent on their needs and wishes.We work within the principles of person-centred support, enabling development and inclusion in their everyday lives within their home and wider community. Each service user lives within their own home and your work will be varied as youll be supportingwith all sorts of activities including swimming, shopping, going for a coffee, going to the cinema, visiting museums and clubs.Youll be supporting the service user with general household chores such as cooking, laundry, vacuuming and dusting and delivering personal care (assisting with bathing, toileting and feeding).Benefits
