  • Act as a streetworks technical expert for all Cadent staff and partner organisations
  • Be the business expert in any upcoming legislation changes and understand how changes will be captured and monitored to understand performance against new requirements
  • Provision of support and advice to the Works Quality Management System Team
  • Represent Cadent at various Highways And Utilities Committee (HAUC) groups
  • Represent Cadent at various Street Works UK Groups (SWUK)
  • Dissemination of all relevant information from local, regional and national highway authorities, utility and trade organisations and meetings, back to all relevant business areas within Cadent.
  • To liaise with relevant business areas within Cadent to facilitate the introduction of new legislation relating to streetworks and works for road purposes in accordance with all required timescales
  • To liaise with relevant business areas within Cadent to facilitate the introduction of new techniques, systems and methods relating to the management of streetworks and works for road purposes
  • Deputise for the Head of Works Quality Management System where required
  • Act as the Central Lead in NRSWA and TMA to support the Network Leads in reducing exposure to any financial liabilities as result of NRSWA and TMA non-compliance
  • Support Network Leads in ongoing engagement / negotiations with Highways Authorities (HAs) and Councils
  • Ensure a consistent response to new permit and legislation consultations across Networks
  • Leading permit schemes and new legislation consultations
  • Support / advise on the development of the annual stakeholder strategy / engagement plan in conjunction with the Construction Management Organisations per network
  • Be the Cadent lead for key working groups such as; Highways Authority and Utilities Committee (HAUC) / National Joint Utilities Group (NJUG) / Highways Authority (HA) interface meetings where required
