Job Description

Stores Person - FLT Driver Location - HinckleySalary - £31,500 per annumMetalis are working in partnership with an aerospace engineering company in Hinckley who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stores Person. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of their supply chain,ensuring that incoming goods are received, inspected and stored efficiently.This role is an Afternoon shift 15:00pm - 01:00am Monday to Thursday, however there will be training for up to 2 months on the Morning shift - 06:45am -15:00pm Monday to Thursday and 06:45am-14:00pm Friday.Job Duties:

  • Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Organise and store goods in designated locations within the warehouse or storage area.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and report any discrepancies or issues to the relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to coordinate the timely delivery of goods and ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Prepare and pack goods for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and adherence to shipping guidelines.
  • Assist in conducting regular stock counts and participate in periodic audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Keep the storage area clean, organised, and in compliance with safety regulations.
Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate material handling equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Salary & Hours:Training on days £25,500 per annum, once moved to afternoon shift - £31,500 per annumDay shift (During training) - 06:45am -15:00pm Monday to Thursday and 06:45am-14:00pm FridayAfternoon shift (After completion of training) - 15:00pm - 01:00am Monday to ThursdayIf you have the required experience and skills and are looking for an exciting opportunity as a Stores Person, please apply now!
