Job Description

Stores OperativeFLT License (08:00- 16:00)Location: HinckleyDo you have an Fork Lift Truck(FLT)License and experience within a production/manufacturing environmentOr, are you ready to start a career or develop your skills within production, in a business environment that is invested in your developmentWhy Join Hammonds as our full-time Stores OperativeWe have exciting opportunities available for additional day shift FLT Store Operatives to join our store-manufacturing teams based in Hinckley (LE10). We are currently offering our Stores Operative a permanent opportunity with a starting hourly rate of £11.15 - 11.42per hour, with overtime available.   • Time and a 1/3 for every hour worked over your contracted 37.5 hours per week
  • Time and a half for every Saturday worked
  • Hourly rate doubled for every Sunday and Bank Holiday worked
You will be working predominately Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work, however dont worry as you wont be expected to work every weekend! Our Stores Operatives work approximately four weekends a year, however flexibility for overtime is desired.INTERESTED IN LEARNING MOREAll of our Stores Operatives are passionate about working with people and being part of a collaborative team with health and safety, right first time, quality and customer expectations at the heart everything they do.Typically, a day in the life of our Stores Operative can include:
  • Picking and packing of system driven products and components in line with right first-time targets.
  • Collating, distributing and storing products within time targets in line with health and safety and best practise techniques.
  • Ensuring Hammonds products are scanned accurately and efficiently into the central system.
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles including handling weight of up to 25KG.
  • Accurately completing timed product counts / cycle counts on a daily basis.
To ensure our customers receive the best possible high-quality product, we do work towards targets and KPIs in line with, health and safety guidelines quality standards and hygiene standards, but dont worry; well help you as much as we can toachieve them.We want you to grow and develop as much as possible and our training and induction programme will support you with this.Experience within a production/warehousing or factory environment would be advantageous, as is an FLT license.
