Founded nearly 100 years ago we have provided simple clever storage solutions toour customers to help them live betterWe have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Paint and Finishing Leadto join our Production Management team on a full-timepermanent basis, based in Hinckley, Leicestershire.As our Paint and Finishing Lead/Manager you will do more than manage the Paint and Finishing line, you will be a key leader within the production management team with remit to look after our people, product and paint finishing processes.With a focus on Health and Safety and Quality (ISO) standards, you will manage the day to day operational performance and excellence of the Paint and Finishing manufacturing team ensuring key deliverables are achieved whilst keeping in mind safety, quality,cost and customer expectationsat all times.As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, creative thinking and embracing change, you will have the autonomy to develop and lead team initiatives, innovation and development projects in all facets of Paint and Finishing Production including safety, quality, efficiency and housekeeping.All of our Production Management Team understand the importance of leading, guiding and motivating a team to success. In addition to the operational needs, our managers support all aspects of their production teams’ performance and welfare, taking into considerationtraining, succession plans, appraisals and recruitment if required.You will also be responsible for

  • Ensuring Right First TimeQuality targets are achieved and maintained in line with internal and external polices and standards.
  • Ensuring material waste percentage is maintained and continuously improved.
  • Analysisof production output levels and planning of staff levels to ensure successful completion of work, focused on delivery of OEE targets.
  • Overseeing planned preventative maintenance on all machinery used within the production process whilst forecasting the impact of breakdowns on the production processes to ensure completion of work is completed within timescales
  • Ensuring a high level of Health and Safety standards are achieved for the safety of the factory and its people; procedures are followed with relevant paperwork/forms completed and necessary Health and Safety risk assessments carried out.
  • Managing, analysing and reporting key metrics including accidents, Near Misses and Completion ratio.
About you;To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you will have strong experiencewithin a Paint and Finishing Operation or associated department with a fundamental understadning of mechanical processes and procedures. Ideally you will have worked withina ISO or BS750 environment previously and have a good knowledge of COSHHYou should also;
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the abilty to communicate effectively at all levels and be able to adapt your style depending on the situation.
  • Have experience in continuous improvement/Lean techniques
  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge in production methods, just in time support systems, quality systems and CMS solutions
  • Have a strong data analysis capabilities.
Further Information;We are currently offering a salary of up to £51,631 per annum depending on experience, with the opportunity to earn up to £1,500 bonus per quarter, depending on right first time performance!
