Job Description

Our client is an established and rapidly expanding accountancy firm and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Payroll Administrator.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely payroll support for a number of clients with varying payroll requirements.The Role:Reporting to the Director you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely payroll services on behalf of a number of different clients.Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;

  • Input and processing payroll, pension and benefits data, and 3rd party deductions for weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly and monthly payrolls. Provision of reports and payment information to client employers.
  • Processing all new starters and leavers, and changes within the payrolls.
  • Input, calculation, and recording of SSP & SMP and any other statutory payments
  • Processing of HMRC submissions each pay period and year end
  • Processing auto enrolment pensions, uploading files to pension portals and corresponding with pension providers
  • Effective management & control of PAYE, NI contributions
Candidate:You will have at least 2 years payroll experience and you must have a good understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.You will be experienced with recognised payroll software and applicants with experience in working with Brightpay software will be beneficial.You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and you should be able to work under your own initiative.Hours of Work:Mon - Fri 37.5 hours per week (Flexible hours + WFH)Benefits:Competitive salary (negotiable dependent on experience)Hybrid working 3 days in office 2 days Work from HomeFlexible working hours28 days annual leaveAuto enrolment pensionFree on-site parking
