Job Description

Are you a Humanities Teacher available immediately Are you available for short term and long term work and be flexible to accommodate a role with no exact end date at present.A Hinckley based secondary school is seeking assistance in their Humanities department starting ASAP until Christmas in the first instance, on a full time basis.Responsibilities for this Key Stage 3 and 4 Humanities Teacher Role include:* Teaching mainly key stage 3 History and Geography with a small amount of key stage 4 Geography.*To follow the schools curriculum and assessment methodology (which are largely based on the National Curriculum)*To assess prospective pupil applications*Core hours are 8:15am to 3.45pm*To attend staff meetings and parents evenings as required out of school hours*To contribute to house and other whole school activities (e.g. sports day)*Occasional internal cover of absent staffThe school adopts a policy of support when developing the students academic and extra-curricular performance.
