Our client is the UKs largest and most progressive leisure centre operator. They have an exciting opportunity and are currently looking to recruit a Group Sustainability Manager to join their team.This new role will contribute to the overall success of our client through the development and delivery of our sustainability strategy. The organisation are looking to support their local authority clients to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030, along withleading the market in their approach to decarbonising their own corporate operations by 2025.Reporting to the Group Development Director, you will be a senior leader within the business, with responsibility for leading internal sustainability work streams, identifying and improving the sustainability strategy going forward, leading on a company-widechange-management programme and linking closely with the business development team to develop and communicate plans with local authorities and partners.The role will require the individual to shape priorities, company approach, and strategic direction in this exciting area.About you - skills and experiences An excellent relationship builder, with considerable Sustainability/ESG/GHG/Net Zero knowledge and extensive experience, you will understand the fundamental role sustainability plays in how we operate our business and the benefits it can bring to our clientspartners Your excellent attention to detail and communication skills ensures you influence all those around you Commercially driven with strong problem-solving capabilities, you can identify new opportunities for growth, and support colleagues and clients to bring these to life You are positive and always find opportunities. Youll think big, but youre also a doer, driven to find the right solution. You know that the right solutions arent always the easy ones either, and youre constantly curious, looking to find the best way You have strong project management skills that ensures the success of projects in a timely and efficient mannerLocation Mix of home working with travel to the Support Hub in the East Midlands and to current and prospective local authority partners as required.
