Job Description

Finance Manager Location: Hinckley £40,000 - £45,000 per annumFinance manager needed to join a manufacturing client in Hickley. This is a brilliant opportunity for a dedicated finance professional to join a fun and friendly team within a growing company.Leading a team of 3, you will be responsible for the management and development of the finance function, ensuring all financial reporting and associated activities are completed in an accurate manner.Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Management, maintenance, and operation of the financial management system.
  • Ensure effective management of the Finance Team, providing support, guidance and training as required to help them achieve their objectives whilst promoting a collaborative approach. •Preparation and maintenance of monthly management accounts for all departments
  • Reporting of actual and budget with variance analysis.
  • Prepare financial and statistical reports
  • Oversee commission and royalty payments and bonuses
  • Oversee preparation and management of Payroll including Year End submissions to HMRC.
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets, including P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flows.
  • Liaise with the external auditors ensuring that audits are completed to schedule
  • Take full responsibility (with the FD) for the preparation of statutory accounts ensuring adherence to processing deadlines. Statutory accounting, VAT and Company tax declarations, produced in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Oversee Debt collection and administration functions across all departments.
  • Agree with the FD the main goals and measures against which the department will be assessed for level of achievement. Keep objectives under continuous review and update as necessary in conjunction with the Finance Team. Agree and manage with each team membera personal development plan in order to achieve these goals.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Experience working within a Finance Management role.
  • Experience in managing accountancy staff.
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to work with a range of people •You will be flexible and self motivated, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • The ability to maintain effectiveness in a changing environment and the willingness to respond quickly and positively to change.
  • The ability and motivation to apply and develop one’s own professional knowledge and to share this expertise with others.
  • Full qualification CIMA /ACA or equivalent is desirable.
