Job Description

Metalis are currently supporting a Leicestershire turn-key business who are recruiting an electrician. You will be working for a company that specialises in electrical and mechanical automation systems. Renowned for their innovative solutions, they have become the preferred partner for clients in various sectors, including FMCG.The position will involve working in their Leicester workshop as well as travelling to customer sites. The field-based projects are predominantly across the East Midlands, however occasional UK travel with overnight stays is likely.You will be contracted to 40 hours per week from 07:00 Monday through Friday. The position offers a good opportunity for overtime and weekend working.Role Overview:As an electrical engineer you will be involved with installations, maintenance, modifications, and repair activities for various electrical systems and equipment - predominantly for the FMCG sector.Responsibilities:

  • Conduct installation, maintenance, modification, and repair activities for various electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure successful completion of electrical installations at food & drink manufacturing facilities in the East Midlands, and occasionally across the UK, in compliance with current legislation.
  • Utilize your experience and expertise to deliver high-quality electrical installations and solutions.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical control and safety circuits, as well as proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics and working from P&ID/layout drawings.
  • Collaborate effectively with the engineering team to achieve seamless integration of electrical systems into the automation solutions.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, implementing effective solutions promptly.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations or equivalent (Required)
  • AM2 (Required)
  • 18th Edition Update (Required)
  • C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (Required)
  • ECS Gold Card - Registered Electrician - Installation Electrician (Desirable)
  • MEWP Safety Training Card, IPAF 3a, 3b or equivalent (Desirable)
  • SSSTS (Desirable)
