Job Description

BuyerHinckley£30,000 - £35,000Are you an experienced procurement professional with a proven track record in the manufacturing industry Are you passionate about sourcing high-quality materials and components to drive innovation and excellence If so, we have the perfect opportunity foryou!Description of the role:

  • Lead procurement activities for client projects, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order processing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement in supplier performance.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, potential risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and provide procurement support and expertise.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, quality standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements to ensure product integrity and reliability.
  • Manage inventory levels and logistics to minimise lead times and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Monitor and assess supplier performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address issues and ensure alignment with project timelines and specifications.
About you:
  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
