Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Buyer to join my clients top-tier procurement team, based near Hinckley. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of procurement techniques and a good understanding of the market dynamics and sound business judgement.Client DetailsOur client is a well-established player in the industrial / manufacturing industry.   • Actively sourcing and procuring products to meet business requirements.
  • Developing sourcing strategies and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintaining and managing relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitoring and forecasting upcoming levels of demand.
  • Coordinating with the Supply Chain team to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Performing risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements.
  • Continuously improving purchasing methods and driving down external spend.
ProfileA successful Buyer should have:
  • Proven experience as a Material Planner / Buyer in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques Inc. supplier management would be desirable.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
