Starting in 1999, Trescal has grown massively covering a total of 25 countries worldwide… Would you like to be a part of their successWe have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to manage our branch in Donibristle, Dunfermline.What will I be responsible forJoining our team as an Operations Manager, you will provide Operational and Technical expertise for the development and implementation of processes required for the successful / cost effective delivery of a Calibration and Measurement capability that meet all customer requirements (Quality, HSE, Cost and Delivery). You will be managing a multi-discipline engineering team and your role will include:

Responsible for the development and management of the P&L and cash generation in a context of a LBO

Proactively set and lead action plans to reduce branch costs structure: logistics, general expenses

Optimizing existing Calibration & Measurement processes to drive Quality, Scheduling & turnaround time improvements

Leading Continuous improvement activities to drive product flow

Focus on compliance and governance associated with Trescal UK & Group QHSE policy and UK legislation.

Manage the teams in the Branch (Customer Services Representatives team, Production team) in order to develop the branch with professional and motivated teams

Identify current workforce skill levels and identify and provide education and cross-training to achieve a highly involved, flexible workforce

Assists with the master scheduling, capacity analysis and gap analysis to ensure that the people, and equipment are in place to support delivery schedule and demand forecast

Take the lead on driving sales for the Branch in line with the strategy for the UK

Focus on a high quality of service for our customers satisfaction and build long term relationships

Support and contribute to Trescal UK senior management initiatives and strategies to develop the business

Demonstrate working knowledge of compliance and maintenance of QA accreditations (eg ISO 17025, ISO 9001,ISO 500001)

Our ideal Operations Manager

Ideally Calibration / Measurement engineering experience

Extensive management/leadership background

Project management process and/or lean/six sigma background is useful

Extensive customer/stakeholder facing experience

Self-starter, resourceful, flexible, responsive, detail oriented and possess a good work ethic

Excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written

Strong IT skills

Demonstrated ability to provide motivational leadership and foster teamwork while solving technical challenges

Excellent problem solving, situation assessment and conflict resolution ability

Must have sound judgment to deal with dynamic situations, decide upon a course of action and implement swift resolution for closure
