My client, a two school Trust, is seeking an effective Head of Finance, who is strong on financials and can lead an established team.Reporting into the interim Finance Director, you will be responsible for the day to day transactional accounts function ensuring accurate ledger invoicing, bank reconciliations, payroll journal reconciliation, delivering management and budget reports within strict deadlines.You will be responsible for month and year end closure and ensure the team is adhering to best practice and financial compliance. This is a period of sickness cover until August 2021.Either fully qualified or qualified by experience, the successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of education finance and understands the reporting process to the ESFA as you will be expected to make an immediate impact in this role. Knowledge of Access accounting is desirable.You will be a self starter, confident in leading a team with the ability to influence staff at all levels.
