Our client , a two school multi academy Trust, whose vision is to build on diverse and sustainable creative industries for its 16 -19 students, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance Director to help support its team in promoting this vision.Reporting to the CEO and leading a team of four staff, you will play an instrumental role in managing a combined revenue of £7.5M, ensuring robust reporting processes are in place and strict financial deadlines are achieved in line with best practice and compliance.Working closely with the Executive team, you will be confident in:Producing and reviewing the monthly management accounts for the schoolsSupporting the production of the statutory accounts in line with FRS102Advising the Finance and Audit Committee on all financial, regulatory and strategic mattersSupporting the Principals and Business Managers to develop three-year sustainable forecastsDevelop a financially sustainable strategic five-year planWorking closely with the Executive team to review commercial contracts and procurement strategyReviewing current internal controls and advising the Principals and Business Managers on best practiceLiaising with funding agencies such as the ESFA and Local Authorities on behalf of the TrustPresenting budgeting and financial workshops for all key stakeholdersProducing commercial financial models to support bids on behalf of the TrustWorking closely with external stakeholders such as the ESFAThe successful candidate will hold a full accounting qualification such as CIMA/ACA/ACCA/CIPFA and will possess the gravitas to influence senior leaders and staff at all levels. You will be proactive with the initiative to implement processes and improve on existing methods to maintain best practice at all times. Experience gained within the education sector is preferable due to the ESFA reporting schedule, however the client will consider a senior candidate from the commercial or not for profit sector.An excellent communicator with strong IT skills, you must be flexible and adaptable, can demonstrate natural management skills and can bring solutions.This role will be divided between two sites in North and East London, is a full time role which is office based. This a 3 - 4 month assignment with the potential to be longer term.
