Welcoming dedicated new people intoour business who have a passion for delivering excellence is key to our continued success.Warehouse Supervisor roleThis is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of our local logistics team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the warehouse supervisor will lead by example in carrying out the full range of duties required within the warehouse and to a high standard,but also support with staff supervision and deputize for the manager in their absence. The role will also be responsible for overseeing quality control. Our warehouse teamwork 45 hours a week across Monday to Friday. Normal hours for this role will be 9am-7pmbut we do ask for some flexibility and working patterns can be subject to some change at certain times. Warehouse Supervisor Key Duties

  • Giving instruction to and supervising performance of warehouse colleagues to ensure tasks are completed effectively and within timescales required
  • Maintain company standards in line with O-license & Health & Safety procedure
  • Ensuring paperwork is processed onto the system accurately and timely
  • Receive, inspect, and unload supplier deliveries
  • Overseeing quality control, including monitoring/inspections and reporting
  • Deal directly with customers when required, ensuring high standards of customer service at all times
  • Pick, load, and dispatch goods
  • Operating the warehouse-management and scanning/barcoding systems
  • Driving Bendi-truck as required
  • Receive and process customer/supplier returns
Do you have the correct profileWe welcome applications from self-motivated, experienced warehouse/logistics professionals who have already gained experience of direct staff/team supervision. You will ideally have some quality-control experience and be familiar with using a warehouse managementsystem. If you have a bendi-truck license, this would be a bonus, although this isnt essential as training can be arranged. Any prior experience of using scanning/barcoding systems would also be an advantage (although again, training can be provided). Youwill also be expected to act as a first aider at work whilst supervising the day shift. It is imperative that you have a strong work-ethic with a flexible can do attitude. Also crucial is a strong customer-focus with the ability to interact positively withour customers.
