Job Description

PA / Office Manager - Financial Services Practice - Part time or Full time considered- Bury - Salary negotiable depending on experience, up to around £35KA well established and successful Financial Services practice (Independent Financial Advisors) based in Heywood is seeking to hire a new member of staff into a key role. Working alongside the Managing Director, the brief is to provide day to day managementof the office; all the internal services, processes and procedures, ensure that client satisfaction remains very high and that the client base and business grows. This role also has some responsibility for accounting control, contractors, recruitment and marketingDuties will include:

  • Creating and maintaining business procedures and service standards
  • Providing secretarial support and PA duties to the MD including managing diaries, production of letters, taking calls etc
  • Ensuring compliance requirements are met
  • Managing IT
  • Managing HR including staff management, holidays, performance and service delivery
  • Managing Recruitment, working alongside MD to ensure the right hires are made
  • Project work; for example arranging charity golf day
  • Creating a positive successful working environment
  • Managing marketing, formulating plans and delivering them
Candidate requirements are:
  • Similar experienced gained, ideally within a Financial Services Institution, although any other background will be considered
  • Strong management, organisational and communication skills.
  • A positive and hard working approach and a proven ability to deliver.
  • Preferably some experience/understanding of basic accounting/book keeping procedures (not essential)
