Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be responsible for all health and safety for two manufacturing sites. This is a "hands on" and proactiverole where you will be working closely on the shop floor, help action ideas for continuous improvement across health & safety; taking the time to really understand the business, reviewing all current processes, procedures, risk assessments and current practicesand then recommending new or improved ones and implementing them into the business. You will be responsible promoting a positive health and safety culture.You will review and re-write risk assessments and check sheets and ensure that there is no stone unturned. You will have the opportunity to apply your technical engineering expertise and knowledge in driving initiatives, providing technical advice and support,training and developing plant personnel and controlling all engineering documentation and technical manuals as well as signing off equipment to include dealing with warranty issues.Skills and Experience required:We are looking for an innovative, energetic and forthright NEBOSH qualified Health and Safety Manager (General level as a minimum) who has worked as a Health and Safety Manager in heaving engineering and manufacturing.
