Our client is one of the most recognisable brand names within their Industry and they are delighted to come to the market with this new role following an internal restructure.My client is looking to secure a talented Commercial & Operations Finance professional who will fit into their dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast paced team.The RoleThe role of Financial Controller / Head of Finance, is a position which is at the cutting edge of my clients commercially focused team. As a uniquely funded organisation, my client has the requirement of utilising the Commercial Finance team to help ensuringthat an enhanced "customer experience" is realised, and brand realisation is optimised.This position will suit a qualified finance professional who is a natural leader and a commercial thinker; someone who can comfortably build and maintain strong working relationships.Responsibilities of the Financial Controller / Head of Finance include:* Implement and deliver the companys financial strategy, including the 3-5-year budgeting process and interim forecasting* Manage a team of 5, and highlight areas of manpower growth* Taking ownership of Excel models and inputs from the business* Provision of detailed analysis to the Executive and Board* Provide finance business partnering to various stakeholders* Responsible for the development of an effective financial accounting function and oversight of the finance function, with responsibility and operational accountability for financial control, operations and planning and analysis* Assist with the development, implementation of robust financial controls, processes and procedures* Ownership of compliance obligations relating to the finance functionKey competencies required of the Financial Controller / Head of Finance:* Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA* Ability to present financial information in a clear and informative manner* Excellent technical accounting skills* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability* Ability to influence at a senior level* Innovative and creativeSalary & BenefitsSalary at c£58,000 to £65,000 basic plus bonus* 23 days paid holiday plus bank holidays* Pension* Personal and company performance bonus
