Job Description

The CompanyFentimans Ltd is a privately-owned premium drinks business based in Hexham, Northumberland. They produce a range of botanically brewed soft beverages and mixers that have a reputation for taste and quality and have made great progress in recent years, buildinga solid position in the UK premium drinks market. In addition to the UK, they have a rapidly growing international business, serving consumers in 75 countries worldwide.The UK Management Accountant is a key appointment for the Finance function and the business. The UK Management Accountant will report to the Group Commercial Management Accountant and will be responsible for the day to day running of the UK Finance function.As the business and department grows the role will have the scope to develop into a Finance Manager appointment. The role will involve the management of a team across all areas of Finance with further scope to support the group FP&A function.The Role

  • Day to day running of the UK Finance function involving support and execution across all areas of Finance and appropriate administration activities
  • Driving improvements and enhancements in systems and processes across the Finance function
  • Oversight and performance of key control account reconciliations
  • Ownership of the inventory control and reconciliation process across the business for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Ownership of revenue to fulfilment reconciliation and control
  • Review and manage standard costing mechanisms across the business
  • Oversight of the credit control function including the management and reporting of KPIs
  • Oversight of the Sales Promotion process including the management and reporting of KPIs
  • Oversight of finance administration activities including Payroll and PAYE/NI reporting, VAT, Management of benefits
  • Preparation and issuing of departmental budgets
The Person
  • Those that are part qualified ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience will be considered for this role
  • Strong IT/Systems experience including strong excel skills
  • FMCG / Consumer experience would be highly desirable
  • Management experience is also desirable for the role
  • Must have a "hands-on" approach and thrive in a dynamic finance function
