Seven Resourcing are looking for a number of temporary Drivers to work with the Councils Highways and Waste department. These positions are initially for a period of 4 months and are paying £9.60 - £11.33 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options areavailable). This position is based in Hethersett.The role: Provide a driving service to the Highway Street Scene Inspectors travelling at an appropriate speed so that the roads can be inspected in accordance with NCC guidance whilst driving within the highway code and reacting to the Highway Street Scene Inspectorsinstructions.All appropriate NCC Policy/Guidance Notes/Processes/Procedure will be provided/discussed as part of the new starter induction for this roleKey Responsibilities: Responsibility for carrying out all vehicle first use checks e.g. oil levels, tyre pressure etc. Information regarding Service dates, MOT and Motor Insurance information should be in the vehicle.To maintain cleanliness standards of the vehicle both inside and out, offer vehicle for inspection to the relevant officer (frequency to be agreed locally) to allow condition standards to be recorded and signed off.To drive the vehicle appropriately allowing the Highway Street Scene Inspector to carry out inspections of the surrounding highway and footpaths whilst staying within legal boundaries.To provide assistance to the Highway Street Scene Inspector if a risk assessment shows that they may need assistance when working on the highway, for example as a watchman whilst marking up required work.To make sure that any paperwork with regards to vehicle defects, drivers hours and timesheets are filled in appropriately.To take part in the Winter Service, supporting the Area Team as/if required.Applicant Requirements: Qualifications: N/A.Experience: Knowledge of Highway Maintenance would be an advantage.Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK and 2 x references.Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.Working with Seven Social Care: We have been helping social care professionals find exciting new roles for almost a decade, so we know exactly where to look when it comes to sourcing the best opportunities.
