The post holder will have the exciting opportunity to be part of the specialist assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions and interventions for neurodevelopmental difficulties alongside providing supervision to MDT members and consultations and training to other agencies. If you have relevant skills and experience with complex clinical work, supervision and consultation in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency setting, we would be delighted to hear from you. You will join a busy and well established team consisting of Nurses with a broad range of specialities, Art Therapy, Psychology and Psychiatry. However, applicants currently already a Band 8a can also apply. Progression from band 7 to band 8a is subject to the post holder successfully evidencing development against the agreed competency profiles. The competency profile will include the ISW training, experience supervising assistant psychologists, trainee psychologists and other professionals; receiving post qualification training in an area relevant to the role; leading on teaching or training for a range of professionals; leading on consultations and working with increasingly complex presentations (as available within the role). This will be reviewed at regular intervals with the clinical supervisor and line manager. We anticipate that progression would take place over a 1.5-2 year period from qualification from the Doctoral training course and would involve close supervision from a clinical supervisor and may involve use of the live supervision model. If the post holder already has significant band 7 post qualification experience, then the progression time period may be reduced. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange a discussion. Why work for usHumber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust provides a broad range of community and inpatient mental health services, community services (including therapies), learning disability services, healthy lifestyle support and addiction services to approximately 600,000 people. We employ approximately 2,500 staff across more than 70 sites at locations throughout Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire, Whitby and Scarborough.
