Job Description

JOB TITLE: PROPERTY ADMINISTRATOR SALARY: £19,000 - £21,500 depending upon experienceLOCATION: HerfordHOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9am - 6pm Monday to FridayDo you commute to work at a distance and now looking to work in HertfordAre you an experienced Administrator looking to join a leading company If so, due to company expansion an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Property Administrator for a forward-thinking company based in Hertford. If you are currently an Administrator with strong admin and IT skills, we would welcome your CV.JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Take lettings enquiries by telephone - register applicants and book viewings/appraisals
  • Arrange for suitably qualified tradespeople to undertake repairs and maintenance on behalf of our managed landlord portfolio
  • Be able to quantify a work order with a contractor, confirming final pricing and being able to deal with contractors when their workmanship has fallen short of that expected.

  • Experience in a very busy environment
  • Deal with property owners/tenants queries verbally and in written form
  • Draw up necessary documents for new tenancies
  • Arrange tenancy extension agreements
  • Managing the electronic data and e-mails and ensure all clients files are kept updated
  • Updating and maintaining Inventories as and when required
  • Dealing with re-lets, renewals and termination paperwork
  • Being the main point of contact for the office on a daily basis
  • Liaising with utility companies to advise of new tenants
  • Maintain regular contact with the tenants
  • Liaise end of tenancy deposit release with landlord and tenant
  • Deal with any other property issues that may arise within the team
  • Key signing in and out and key tracking
  • General lettings administration and teamwork
  • Arrange for gas/electricity safety certificates to be completed
  • Carry out referencing
  • Handling customer queries and complaints in a professional manner
  • Assist the new business team in completing tenant and landlord on-boarding
  • Booking mid-term and end of tenancy inspections
  • Update the companies CRM system to ensure that any time member can check the progress of files
  • Record all tenant and landlord verbal conversations against the companies CRM system
  • Key signing in and out and key tracking
  • Providing efficient and effective admin support to ensure a smooth running of the office
  • Working in a busy team environment and on your own initiative
  • Meeting and greeting customers upon their arrival
  • PERSON SPECIFICATION:
  • Must have strong administration skills - property experience desirable but not essential
  • Be a car owner
  • Methodical and reliable
  • Self-motivated with excellent time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills including professional telephone manner
