French Teacher - Independent Day and Boarding SchoolLocation: Hertfordshire (accommodation available) Start Date: September 2020 Timetable: Full time Contract: PermanentOur client, an independent school in Hertfordshire, is looking for a highly qualified and experienced French Teacher to join their high achieving, well-regarded institution.The school is an independent co-educational, boarding, and IB World accredited institution which offers a fully-rounded education for boys and girls aged 11 to 18. Academic achievement is well-above average and most of their pupils take up palaces at the best universities in the UK and around the world. The school is located in rural Hertfordshire and surrounded by 500+ acres of beautiful countryside and excellent on-site sport and art facilities.The school requires an outstanding French Teacher to join the schools flourishing department. The French Teacher will teach engaged students with high aspirations. The successful French Teacher applicant will likely be a BA French / MFL graduate who is knowledgeable in their field, having excellent academics themselves. Further, someone who has experience teaching French at both GCSE, A-Level and ideally IB Diploma will be a favourable applicant. Candidates without those experiences however are still strongly encouraged to apply; due to the size and flexibility in the department, the timetable can be manipulated to suit a teachers strengths. The successful applicant will possess a natural ability to build rapport with young people and be an aspirational teacher. They will also hold themselves and their department to the highest standards, curating a first-class French curriculum and ensuring its effective delivery.
